Very peaceful, serene place. Think I enjoyed this place the best. It was not ornate, just lots of greenry and piece and quiet. The memorial grounds were done simply, and i think Gandhi would have approved.

Humanyun's Tomb. This picture makes it look better than it is. In fact, the ticket guy must have known it was nothing spectacular for when he realized we had FRO (foreign registery papers)--he let us in for 10 rupees each instead of 250!

Quwwatul-islam Masjid (might of Islam). Earliest mosque in India. Built in 1193AD.

Older than the Taj (14-1500??--didn't really listen to the guide)

Very tall minar. It is a "call to Prayer" tower for the muslems.

inside the taj. It is decorated only with white marble and gem stones. The marble is carved out and the stones inlaid. There is no paint involved.

A baptism in New Delhi branch.

Savio Ambrose's Sister and her children. They live in New Delhi and attend the 1st branch. We did training for Elder and Sister Weeks in this branch. We attended church on sunday where we meet Savio's extended family. Savio is the young man who works part-time for us in the ERC.

Here we are getting ready to "ride" through Old Delhi. There were three couples, E/S Asplund, us and the Weeks. The streets are so narrow you must use a bicycle rickshaw to get through.
